We want to make it clear that we are not a 12-step program. While we honor and respect the lives that have been helped through the 12 steps, 5R Recovery was created to meet the growing need for a different approach—an approach rooted in Jesus, free will, and personal responsibility.

At 5R, we don’t believe addiction is a lifelong disease you’re powerless against. We believe it's a spiritual battle—a war for your soul, mind, and choices. You are not broken forever. You are not bound by a label. You were created with the power to choose, and that choice can start right now. 

We are a Jesus-centered recovery model that believes true transformation comes not just from behavior modification, but from heart and soul transformation through Christ. We believe people don’t just need to be sober—they need to be set free. Here, recovery isn’t about confessing your weakness over and over again. It’s about remembering who you are, recovering your purpose, rejoicing in your progress, becoming reborn in Christ, and learning to relive a brand-new life. That’s the 5R roadmap: Remember, Recover, Rejoice, Reborn, Relive.
